Co-Managing Director & Founder
Ofer founded Paragon in 1988 under the name Dan Knassim. The company organizes conferences and events in Israel, and has rapidly grown into a leading international provider of a broad range of high quality professional services for companies and organizations worldwide. In his role as Co-Managing Director, Ofer is responsible for ongoing company management, while promoting innovation and improving customer retention and work methods. Ofer also oversees technology, computerization and media aspects, while ensuring the synergy between the company’s departments. Ofer has shaped the company’s image from the ground up and today it is home to top-notch professionals who commit themselves to refreshing, out-of-the-box thinking, full transparency, and a passion for excellence.

Eyal Halevy

Co-Managing Director
Eyal joined the company in 1993 as a partner, bringing extensive experience in the international arena. Eyal’s experience helped transform Dan Knassim into what it is today – the international Paragon Group. Eyal leads a professional team bursting with expertise, skill and inspiration, which strives to develop the international convention market through personal connections, high-level service and boundless creativity. Prior to his role at Paragon, Eyal served as Vice President (VP) at Kenes International, a leading global Professional Conference Organizer (PCO), and was pivotal in transforming it from a local PCO into a global player. Eyal’s background includes many years in the international hotel industry, including the position of VP at Dan Panorama Tel Aviv (where he co-constructed the hotel’s convention centre), and Food & Beverage Manager responsible for conferences and events at the InterContinental Hotel chain in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Ben Hoffman

Director of Industry Liaison, Technical and IT Department
Ben joined Paragon Group in 2009 as Director of Industry Liaison, Technical and IT Department, after years working for Israel’s largest brewery and soft drink distributor of Pepsi. He manages 4 employees, as well as the targets, budgets and all technical aspects for each congress. He is also involved with the planning of all international congresses worldwide.

Lara Van Zyl

Managing Director & Partner
Lara is the Managing Director and Partner of Paragon Africa. She has over a decade of experience in the conference and events industry in South Africa and the UK, with a core focus on association business. Before joining Paragon Africa, Lara ran her own successful PCO company. Prior to that, she worked with other well-known PCO’s in Cape Town, as well as for a large association in the UK managing their events.
